Roll Out The Red Carpet!
Amy Fennelly and Margie Nicoll's show, "The Cut-Up Queens" can be viewed beginning
Monday, September 7th through October 7th, 2020 during gallery hours.
"THE CUT UP QUEENS" is a coming together of Amy's and Margie's newest work as well as a few older pieces that hold a special place for each of them.
Margie Nicoll and Amy Fennelly met as art students in the 1980s at University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Though collage was not very popular at the time, Amy and Margie were interested in new ways to combine drawing, painting, collage and assemblage. Over thirty years later, both Margie and Amy are still intrigued by, and continue to create, mixed media works.
Stop by the Art Barn Gallery to view what the "Queens" have cut, torn, ripped, glued, collaged, and created.
The artists will host a closing show rather than an opening, so please stop by to meet the artists and see their work on Saturday, October 3rd, 2020 from1pm-5pm. Mark it on your calendars!
*Masks required! Thank you.
Also, a special thank you to everyone who supported our last show, Donna Howard's "Gardens In My Head". The artist's work was very well received and the show was an absolute success!
Soak in those last days of summer folks, and remember it's more important now than ever to SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL ARTISTS!
Take care and be well.
