"CHAOS AND COSMOS"
July 10 - Aug 12
Byron Renderer showcases his expansive collection of 2019 "action abstract" paintings. His pieces were made in an extended moment of time with instinctual movement. Each painting is meant to be twisted and turned upside down, as this is how they were created. Come and see what you see, feel what you feel, and change your perspective on how creation truly comes to be.
"GARDENS IN MY HEAD"
Aug 15 - Sept 5, 2020
"This series was conceived in a pre-Pandemic February, when I longed for the warm sunny summer days that seemed so far away. I began these “windows” into imaginary summer gardens to push back at the cold. I’ve watched them shift into single bold blossoms and back into light filled fields of flowers. This is my tribute to the resilience of the natural world. They are a thank you for the simple joys that can be found in adversity."
"THE CUT UP QUEENS"
Sept 7 - Oct 7, 2020
Margie Nicoll and Amy Fennelly met as art students in the 1980s at University of Massacusetts, Amherst. Though collage was not very popular at the time, Amy and Margie were interested in new ways to combine drawing, painting, collage and assemblage. Over thirty years later, both Margie and Amy are still intrigued by, and continue to create, mixed media works.
Their upcoming show, entitled; "THE CUT UP QUEENS" will be a coming together of Amy's and Margie's newest work as well as a few older pieces that hold a special place for each of them.
Please stop by to view what the "Queens" have cut, torn, ripped, glued, collaged, and created.
